Umit Korkmaz and Martin Harnik in Austria roster, again

Midfielders Umit Korkmaz and Martin Harnik are back for Austria after more than a year out for next week's friendly against Croatia.

Both were in the 23-man squad announced by coach Dietmar Constantini on Tuesday for the May 19 game at Klagenfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt playmaker Korkmaz had been overlooked since Austria beat Romania 2-1 in the first match under Constantini in April last year.

Harnik, who has not appeared in the team since October 2008, was not a regular starter for Werder Bremen before switching to German second-division team Fortuna Duesseldorf.

Austria Vienna defender Florian Klein received his first call-up. Captain Emanuel Pogatetz, Ekrem Dag and Paul Scharner were missing with injuries, while David Alaba was left out of the squad as his club Bayern Munich plays the Champions League final against Inter Milan on May 22. Austria and Croatia failed to qualify for this year's World Cup.
